Features
This service provides Internet connectivity to classrooms, residence halls and offices across the university, as well as access to University tenants. Wired connectivity is faster, more secure and more robust than wireless internet access. It is also used to support GW unified communications voice services like desk phones, faxes, and call-centers.
The standard connection provided is up to 1GB capable. For adds, moves and changes, please submit a request.
GWired provides students living in the residence hall system with a high-speed wired network connection. Students can sign out equipment for their wired internet connections from the IT Support Center. Some residence halls may require media converters to use GWired.
