Anna Vakulick
As Deputy CIO, Anna serves as a trusted advisor to the CIO and GW campus to align the technology portfolio with the University's strategic initiatives and mission. Anna advises on the development of strategic and operational technology, budget, and workforce plans that enable the diverse needs of the institution. While her scope is enterprise-wide, she also provides direct leadership for enterprise applications, platforms, cloud and server management, and process automations.
With more than 20 years of information technology (IT) experience, Anna is known for her collaborative approach to problem solving and her commitment to the success of the team, as well as her ability to convert business strategy into IT strategy, shape culture, develop and lead teams in times of change, and redefine the financial model for IT.
Anna began her career at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) as a management consultant for the East Coast Region and then spent 19 years at the University of Oklahoma in various leadership roles where she developed a passion for Higher Education. She holds a bachelor’s degree in management information systems from the College of William and Mary and an MBA from the University of Oklahoma.
