Upgrade your Phone

Software based phones (soft phones) allow you to access your GW phone number from anywhere, by using Webex Calling, which is available on a computer or mobile device using the Webex client or app. Webex Calling offers a versatile feature set, including calling and conferencing, to keep you connected on campus and beyond. 

Note: A GW phone number is required to use a soft phone. If you already have a GW phone number, you can access your phone from anywhere using Webex Calling via the Webex client or app.

Out with the Old, In with the New

Let GW IT help you streamline your office space by picking up old and unused phones. Model 8945 desk phones are no longer supported by the manufacturer and are being removed or replaced across campus. If you have a phone you no longer need, let us know and we’ll pick them up.

Faculty and staff with 8945 desk phones will receive an email from GW IT reminding them to fill out the Request to remove or replace a desk phone. 

Please be patient as we work through these requests. We anticipate that phone removals and replacements will continue until mid August.
