GWconnect is a wireless network that is reserved for guests of the university including parents, university event attendees and other visitors. Guests temporarily visiting the university may self-register for an account to access GW's secure wireless network, which grants Internet access for 48 hours. Guests sponsored by a member of the GW community now have the ability to register for a sponsored account that, upon approval, grants network access for up to 90 days.
How does it work?
Guests can use their mobile device or laptop to connect to the GWconnect wireless network and will be prompted to register for an account. Upon registering for an account, guests will receive an SMS text or email with account credentials.
Alternatively, a member of the GW community can sponsor a visitor by connecting to the GWconnect wireless network and registering their guests. Sponsored guests can be provided access for more than 48 hours.

eduroam (education roaming) is a secure, worldwide roaming access service developed for the international research and education community, and it allows visitors from participating institutions to connect to the Internet across GW's campuses and when visiting other participating institutions using their university login credentials.
