October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month, an annual campaign to raise awareness about the importance of cybersecurity and to ensure that everyone has the resources needed to stay safe and secure online. The overarching theme for this year’s campaign is, “Do Your Part. #BeCyberSmart.” George Washington University is proud to be a Cybersecurity Champion and help promote a safer, more secure and more trusted Internet.

GW Information Technology is committed to the cybersecurity and digital privacy of our community. We have compiled a list of events, resources and speakers based around specific weekly themes that will help each of us to take proactive steps to enhance cybersecurity at home and in the workplace.

We are also taking the annual campaign to our social media accounts so make sure you are following us on Twitter at @GWIT_tweets and our GW Information Technology LinkedIn page for tips, tricks, blog posts, videos, and more.
