National Cyber Security Awareness Month Events Continue

October 22, 2018

National Cyber Security Awareness Month events continue and include two presentations by Microsoft.

By 2020, there will be a shortage of 2 million cybersecurity jobs. As cyber-attacks increase, companies are being forced to digitally transform their environments at a rapid pace to be able to protect, detect and respond against these attacks effectively. Join Microsoft specialist Ella Wurth to learn about the different career paths in cyber and why they're worth considering no matter what your major. This talk will take place in Gelman Library, Room 702 on Thursday, October 25, from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. No food or drink allowed.

Later in the month, Microsoft will be at TechExpo with a Mixed Reality demonstration and how it’s changing the face of education. Experience virtual field trips, anatomy lessons and even product collaboration and design, all in mixed reality. Join us at TechExpo in Kogan Plaza on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 from 2-5 p.m.

Other highlights include an iOS Security presentation. Come out to Lehman Auditorium in SEH on Tuesday, October 23rd at 11:00 a.m. and bring your iPhone or iPad to learn how to better secure your iOS device.
