How do I reset my PIN for the GWeb Information System?
June 17, 2014
The GWeb Information System (also sometimes referred to as Banner or BanWeb) allows online access to university services, such as registering for classes, viewing student accounts and accepting financial aid. GWeb access is available to individuals who have roles at GW as students, faculty members, advisors and/or staff members.
To log in to GWeb, you must use your GWid, which is an alphanumeric value used to identify an individual’s records within GW’s administrative systems. Your GWid is the letter G followed by an 8-digit number. You must also use a PIN, which is usually a 6-digit number, to log in to the GWeb Information System.
If you need to reset your GWeb PIN, visit the GWeb Information System login page and type your GWid in the space provided; do not enter your PIN, and click on “Forgot PIN.” Answer your GWeb security question, and you will be prompted to enter a new PIN. Your new PIN must be at least six characters long and should contain both letters and numbers for security purposes.
