November, Comupterworld Premier 100 IT Leaders Award Recipient
IDG's Computerworld honored Chuck Mance, Director of Communications and Technology Support Services, for his exceptional technology leadership and innovative approaches to business challenges.

August, Candor Award from TargetX
Enterprise Information Services (EIS) received the Candor Award from TargetX, the leading provider of campuswide CRM solutions for higher education. This award was presented at the TargetX 2016 CRM Summit, and recognizes EIS for exemplifying the TargetX Fundamental Value of Candor.

May, 2016 Informatica Innovation Award Finalist
The Business Intelligence Services team was recognized as a finalist for Informatica's 2016 Innovation Award for excellence and business transformation. 

2015

July, 2015 National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO) Innovation Award
The Business Intelligence Services team received the 2015 Innovation Award for its work on improving processes through the Principal Investigator's Dashboard

June, IDG Enterprise’s CIO magazine 2015 CIO 100 Awards
The Capital Area Advanced Research and Education Network was recognized by CIO 
magazine as one of 100 organizations that has distinguished itself by creating business value through the innovative use of technology.

March, Northern Virginia Technology Council Destination Innovation Competition Finalist
The Principal Investigator’s Dashboard from the Division of IT Business Intelligence Services was selected to compete against three other companies in the Apps and Platforms category at The Washington Post headquarters during the NVTC Destination Innovation program.

November, University Business Magazine Models of Efficiency Honoree
The Division of IT was recognized by University Business Magazine for its recent customer support enhancements, resulting in improved communication, self-service, metrics and computer imaging.

June, Computerworld Best Places to Work in IT Award Recipient
IDG's Computerworld ranked the Division of IT 50th overall and seventh for diversity among the nation's best places to work in information technology.

May, Washington SmartCEO 2013 VOLTAGE Award Finalist
Washington SmartCEO selected GW's Division of IT and Academic Technologies teams as finalists for implementing walk-up support at Tech Commons. All finalists and winners were honored at an award ceremony and featured in a video.

IDG's Computerworld ranked the Division of IT 75th among the nation's best places to work in information technology.

March, SmartCXO Award Recipient
Washington SmartCEO Magazine honored CIO David Steinour for his management and leadership skills and innovative strategies. Steinour was honored at a celebration for the 40 finest Washington-area leaders.

January, Comupterworld Premier 100 IT Leaders Award Recipient
IDG's Computerworld honored Deputy CIO Edward Martin for his extensive technology experience and contributions to the Division of IT's success.

January, HDI Capital Area Analyst of the Year Recipient
Senior support analyst Thomas Cancelleri was honored by worldwide technical support association HDI for his commitment to excellent customer service.

November, GW Service Excellence Awards
The Division of IT was recognized for its sustainability efforts at the Service Excellence Awards as a winner of the Sustainability Award. The division was also a finalist in the Service Collaboration category for its collaboration with the Office of Finance, the Procurement Office and the GWorld Office.

June, Computerworld Best Places to Work in IT Award Recipient
IDG's Computerworld ranked the Division of IT 62nd among the nation's best places to work in information technology.

June, Computerworld Honors Program Laureate Award Recipient
IDG's Computerworld honored the Division of IT for implementing sustainability initiatives that decrease energy use, save resources and improve customer service.

February, Computerworld Premier 100 IT Leaders Award Recipient
Computerworld honored GW's CIO, David Steinour, as one of the brightest talents in the IT industry for leadership.

SmartCEO magazine recognized the Division of IT with an honorable mention in its EcoCEO Awards for implementing sustainable IT initiatives that add business value.

October, Computerworld Top Green-IT Organizations Award Recipient
Computerworld ranked the division of IT seventh, and the only university, among the best green-IT organizations.

June, Computerworld Magazine Best Places to Work in IT Award Recipient
Computerworld ranked the Division of IT 66th among the nation's best places to work in information technology.

November, IDG's InfoWorld 100 Award Recipient
InfoWorld recognized the Division of IT's implementation of the GWireless Project, a secure Internet network stretching across GW's three campuses with over 2,000 wireless access portals.

November, Information Management Magazine Award Recipient
The Division of IT was noted for its sustainable IT initiatives and commitment to service excellence across the organization.

November, SmartCEO Magazine EcoCEO Honorable Mention
SmartCEO magazine recognized the Division of IT with an honorable mention in its EcoCEO Awards for implementing sustainable IT initiatives that add business value.

October, Technology Managers Forum Honorable Mention
The Division of IT teamed with Georgetown University and American University to create the Collaborative Cyber Security Response Project, an emergency preparedness and response agreement.

June, Computerworld Magazine Best Places to Work in IT Award Recipient
Computerworld ranked the Division of IT 58th among the nation's best places to work in information technology, a 19-place jump from 2008.  The Division of IT ranked fifth for training and sixth for diversity and was heralded for presenting unbeatable education benefits to staff and their families.
