Computerworld honored Deputy CIO Edward Martin for his extensive technology experience and contributions to the Division of IT's success.

January 2012, HDI Capital Area Analyst of the Year Recipient
Senior support analyst Thomas Cancelleri was honored by worldwide technical support association HDI for his commitment to excellent customer service.

November 2011, GW Service Excellence Awards
The Division of IT was recognized for its sustainability efforts at the Service Excellence Awards as a winner of the Sustainability Award.  The division was also a finalist in the Service Collaboration category for its collaboration with the Office of Finance, the Procurement Office and the GWorld Office.

    InfoWorld recognized the Division of IT's implementation of the GWireless Project, a secure internet network stretching across GW's three campuses with over 2,000 wireless access portals.

        October 2009, Technology Managers Forum, Honorable Mention

          The Division of IT teamed with Georgetown University and American University to create the Collaborative Cyber Security Response Project, an emergency preparedness and response agreement.
