1. Review the open positions within the Division of IT eligible for the program.

 

2. Identify a past colleague or friend that fits the requirements of the open position and commits to service excellence.

 

3. Complete the Employee Referral Form and submit to ITjobs@gwu.edu. Only one referral award can be given per candidate. If a candidate is referred by more than one employee, the first referral received will be the one rewarded.

 

4. If your candidate is hired you will be awarded $1,000, minus applicable taxes, after six months of continued successful employment of the referred individual.

 

Before you being, please review the following key information* about the program.

 

    - Only EVP&T employees are eligible.

    - You must be a current EVP&T employee at the time of the award payout, which is six months

      after the start of the referred employee.

    - The referred employee must still be employed by the Division of IT at the end of the six month period

      and be in good performance standing.

    - Referrals are for current, open eligible positions only.

    - Only candidates from outside GW can be referred.

    - Those involved in the hiring decision for an eligible position can not receive the award.

    - All EVP&T Director-level staff and above, as well as EVP&T Human Resource staff, are not eligible.

    - Only one referral award can be given per candidate. If a candidate is referred by more than

      one employee, the first referral received will be the one rewarded in the event the candidate

      is hired.
